The Ashoka – Ramayana Mudrika Marble Inlay Mural | Sita Hanuman Mandir Art | Stone Plus India
THIS is our most emotional mandir. This is not OM, not mantra, not mandala – this is KATHA. A story in stone.
The Ashoka – The Moment Hope Returned
In Ashok Vatika, under a Simsupa tree, Sita ji sat alone. Then Hanuman ji appeared, and placed Ram’s ring – the Mudrika – before her. It was proof that Ram had not forgotten. That hope was alive.
The Ashoka mural captures this exact moment – Hanuman in his humble bow, Sita in her divine wait, the golden ring on the stone. Behind them, trees inlaid in different marbles – green malachite, gold jaisalmer, brown wood jasper. Every leaf cut by hand. Every fold of their vastra inlaid in Lapis, Carnelian, and Mother of Pearl.
On the right, the Garbhagriha – Ram Darbar in their marble home, framed by floral vines and a carved jali partition. On the left, their story. To pray in this mandir is to walk through Ramayana itself.
