Three figures, walking away from a kingdom, into a forest. No crown, no palace. Only dharma.

The Vanvas mural inlays the most poignant moment of Ramayana – Ram, Sita and Lakshman beginning their 14-year exile. Behind them, a forest of malachite leaves, lapis shadows, and carnelian earth. Every tree, every leaf, every fold of their simple van-vastra, cut in stone.

This is placed on the right side wall of the mandir. On the left – The Ashoka – Hanuman delivering hope to Sita in Ashok Vatika. Between them – the Lord himself in the garbhagriha. To enter this mandir is to walk through the journey – from exile to reunion.
