The Om – The Sound The Universe Began With

At the center of everything, Om.

The Om mandala is a 4ft cosmic circle, hand-inlaid in rare green mother of pearl – deep peacock blue, emerald and silver. At its heart, Om in golden yellow MOP, glowing like the first sound. Around it, an infinite lace of vines and flowers, like a prayer repeated 108 times.

Above, a crown of temple bells – a chandelier of brass bells hung at different lengths, so when you enter, the air itself chants. The outer frame carries baroque floral inlay on top, carved marble pillars on sides, and a stepped altar for multiple deities.

This was designed for a home where three generations pray together – Ganesha, Radha-Krishna, and the formless Om above all.
